Situation 14 Working at Christmas

When I read this topic, first things that came to my mind were the following: I have no children yet and I'm not a manager of the company. So, this issue still seems to me difficult.

Nevertheless, I would like to present you my idea how to cope with this problem of planning holidays.

If I were the manager of the company, I would ask everyone his plans for the coming Christmas. I'm pretty much sure that everyone would like to spend time with his/her family, friends, etc.

In this case, I would offer them a kind of questionnaire where I will put questions concerning Christmas - attitude, traditions, willingness to celebrate.

If the results were negative and I couldn't distinguish volunteers to work at holidays, I would offer them additional perks. For example, a higher salary or additional days-off after holidays.
